The Civil Wars w/ Milo Greene @ the Vic Nov. 6

I had some pretty high expectations for the Civil Wars show at the Vic.  First off, the Vic only shows really well-deserving artists.  You could even get this sense from the music they played before and after each set.  In fact, I wish they had the song and artist playing displayed somewhere.  So, I was expecting only the best.  I wasn’t expecting, however, for there to be two incredible acts that still have me thinking back to their performances, but that’s exactly what happened.

The DOs and DON’Ts of Attending a Concert

I’ve been to many concerts in my life, this semester in particular, and have found there are good and bad things to do at a concert.  This is a more general list.  I’m not specifically referring to an outdoor vs. indoor venue, a punk vs. classical concert, etc.  This is a work in progress, and I’ll most likely add things to this list or split it up into particular concerts if need be.  For now, this is what I have. Ben Rector & Graham Colton @ Lincoln Hall Oct. 13th

I’ll start with saying a bit about me.  I live with seven other girls.  It does seem a bit crazy, but I absolutely love it and wouldn’t trade it for anything.  One of the many perks about this living situation are the differences and variety of music that’s played constantly throughout our house.

A common house favorite is Ben Rector.  I had never heard of him before moving in but became a fan after hearing some of his songs.  So, when Bethesda, our house name, decided to make a family outing by going to his concert, I decided it was a good opportunity to expose myself to music that I’m not very familiar with.
