About Ali

I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a degree in marketing and have my sights set on music marketing.  I am always looking to find something fresh and new to listen to.

I realized at an early age that I was passionate about music.  It gives my life a soundtrack, providing depth, creativity and a fuller understanding of life’s emotions, events and everyday occurrences.  I grew up listening to the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Lyle Lovett, Talking Heads, Sheryl Crow, Neil Young and others who have helped to shape my diverse taste in music and create a deep passion and appreciation for the music industry.  In London, while others were observing the city from the London Eye, I was charting my way to the Abbey Road Studios where I saw the impact the Beatles’ music has had through the many tributes displayed there by their fans.  I spent some time two summers ago in Nashville where I travelled to the “Music City” to witness first-hand the new artists that are thriving there.  In the autumn of 2011, I continued my musical expedition by witnessing different up-and-coming musical talents at various concert venues.  I even had the opportunity to enter the behind the scenes world of indie musical talents by working their merch tables.

Music continues to fascinate me with its varying performance styles, sounds, song formats, lyrics, etc. It is simply an incredible force that is impossible to match and something that I will always be enamored with. I enjoy discovering new artists and playing their work for friends and family. I also love going back to the roots of rock ‘n’ roll as well as other genres and reflecting on why so many people are so captivated by such iconic musicians.  I am always looking to find something fresh and new to listen to.
